Best Chicken Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo Recipe
That's right, with this easy gumbo recipe, you can have homemade food without breaking a sweat.
The trick to this fast gumbo is pre-baking flour. Think of your oven as a tanning bed. Flour in a warm oven and change the color of a nice Spring Break bronze.

Ingredient
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried Thyme
  • 5 ounces Shrimp, cleaned and tailed
  • White rice, hot and cooked, to be served
  • 1 cup of Okra, frozen, sliced
  • 1/3 cup fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 8 ounces of diced tomatoes
  • 1/8 teaspoon Chili Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup of onions
  • 1/2 cup Celery
  • 1/2 cup Green Peppers
  • 6 ounces of Smoke Sausage
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons of Beef Base Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 chicken breast


Instruction
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 ° F.
  2. Add flour to a small cast iron skillet (or regular skillet) and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. This will change color (see photo). Allow to cool completely before use.
  3. In a medium supply pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add flour and keep stirring. The mixture must be colored copper cents before moving to the next step. Don't get too far away or it can catch fire.
  4. Add onions, celery, paprika and sausages.
  5. Saute for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Onions must be softened and sausages should be lightly browned. Next, add water and the next 7 ingredients. Bring to a boil and let cook cover for 45 minutes.
  6. Add whole chicken breast and cook open 20 minutes. After the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan, cut the meat, then add it back to the pan. Next, add the okra and parsley and cook open for 5 minutes.
  7. Just before serving, add shrimp and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the shrimp are cooked. Serve on white rice.
